The Los Angeles Maritime Museum Research Library is home to books, photos, and archival collections that focus on the history of the Port of Los Angeles.

Subject areas include shipbuilding, fishing & canneries, labor history, commercial diving, U.S. Navy, merchant shipping, yachting, and San Pedro history.

A portion of our collection finding aids can be found on the Online Archive of California (OAC).

The Research Library will remain open by appointment during the Museum closure. Please call 310-548-7618 ext. 215.

Book borrowing privileges are limited to Museum members and volunteers.
