The Maritime Museum staff and volunteers will be on site to help celebrate the migration of the Pacific gray whale and the beginning of whale watching season. After author Mark Rozelle discovered his grandmother’s archives containing hundreds of photographs, documents, and ephemera, he spent over a decade researching the history of his family who lived on a 114-acre ranch along the Los Angeles River.  Learn how the Rozelles overcame droughts, floods, earthquakes, and the Great Depression, as the river brought them both wealth and tribulation. Los Angeles Harbor is home to two lighthouses: the Point Fermin Lighthouse and the Los Angeles Harbor Lighthouse (known as Angels Gate Light).
