A new exhibit presented by the Los Angeles Maritime Museum chronicling the early years of the Wilmington Transportation Company. Founded by the Banning Brothers in 1884, “WT” operated in the port of Los Angeles for over a century, carrying passengers and cargo between Wilmington and Catalina Island. Learn how the Banning family popularized Catalina as a vacation destination and how a devastating fire helped bring about the sale of the company to William Wrigley. Admission is free.
