Explanation of Details:
The ship was named for Wooster College in Wooster, Ohio. At first a troop ship, after the war WOOSTER began a long history as a cargo ship with several name changes, owners, and subsequent conversion to a passenger ship. In 1970 as MONSERRAT, the ship suffered equipment damage with over 600 passengers aboard. MONSERRAT was scrapped in Castellon, Spain in 1973.
