Collection Description:
In Los Angeles, the Bill of Rights, a topsail schooner, served as a training vessel for the Los Angeles Martime Institute's Topsail youth program.
Description of Photograph:
This schooner was constructed in 1971. It's design is based on that of the 1856 cargo ship, Wanderer. It originally sailed in New England waters, before making its home in Southern California. The Bill of Rights is currently docked in Chula Vista, where it is available for adventure cruises.
Background Information:
In this scene, the Bill of Rights sails past the Angels Gate Lighthouse in Los Angeles Harbor.
