The Museum is pleased to offer educational tours throughout the year at no charge.
Tours are free for grades K-12, but reservations are required.
For adult tour groups, there is a suggested donation of $5.00 for adults, $3.00 for seniors. These donations allow the Museum to keep the children’s tours free.
The Museum is located on the Main Channel of Los Angeles Harbor. Students will have a front-row opportunity to see the massive container ships in action and learn about international trade, ship terminology, sailor’s art, and the history of the working people who built Los Angeles harbor into the nation’s busiest container port.
Our tours are customized for each grade level, and the content supports the State of California “Common Core” standards. Please note that unguided school groups are not permitted in the Museum. Each tour is led by our trained Museum Guides. Download School Tour Information and FAQ.
Tours are offered Tuesday-Friday. Groups who are participating in the Port of Los Angeles student boat tours must still make a separate reservation for a Museum tour.
