Information and Driving Directions
The Museum is located in San Pedro (Berth 84 in the Port of Los Angeles), at the foot of 6th Street in John S. Gibson Park. The park includes monuments to the US Navy heavy cruiser LOS ANGELES, and the American Merchant Marine Veterans Memorial. The Pacific Electric Red Car is Back! And it stops in front of the Museum!
Hours and Driving Directions:
The Los Angeles Maritime Museum is located approximately 20 miles south of the Los Angeles International Airport. From the freeways, take 110 South [Harbor Freeway] to the Harbor Boulevard off ramp, and turn right onto Harbor Boulevard. Go one mile to 6th Street, and turn left.
Note: Due to the waterfront construction project, the parking lot located between the Museum and the Fire Station is now closed.
Free parking will be available in the lot across the street from Acapulco Restaurant, south of the Museum.
Parking for disabled visitors will continue to be available at the Red Car Station.
MUSEUM HOURS:
Group tours are available by appointment. Adults $3.00, Youth and Senior Citizens $1.00, Children Free.
The museum is A.D.A. - accessible.
