Archives and Manuscripts

Archives and Manuscripts Collections are available for viewing in the Los Angeles Maritime Museum Research Library. Collections may be accessed by downloading and filling out the Library request form that can be emailed or faxed to the Library to schedule an appointment.

Archives and Manuscripts Collections include papers, documents, log books and/ or photographs once belonging to persons or business concerns or military personnel. Collected and preserved over lifetimes, these papers and documents are evidence of a person’s or firm’s involvement in pursuit of 20th century maritime professions or their support, and are organized here in the following categories:
