If This Tug Could Talk ... The Story of Angels Gate

If This Tug Could Talk.. .you would hear about a long and colorful career on the Los Angeles waterfront. Our current temporary exhibit celebrates the career of the museum’s tug ANGELS GATE. Built in 1944 for the U.S. Army Transport Service as ST-695, ANGELS GATE is the only example of her class to be preserved as a museum vessel. Whether towing barges, hosting harbor tours and special events, or serving as the museum’s floating ambassador, ANGELS GATE has been on the scene for over 50 years.

The exhibit includes photographs, logbook entries, and mementos of ANGELS GATE , and will run through summer, 2000.
